[Verse 1]
Every now and then, I get a little bit lonely
And you're never coming 'round
Every now and then, I get a little bit tired
Of listening to the sound of my tears
(Turn around)
Every now and then, I get a little bit nervous
That the best of all the years have gone by
(Turn around)
Every now and then, I get a little bit terrified
And then I see the look in your eyes
[Verse 2]
(Turn around)
(Turn around)
Every now and then, I get a little bit helpless
And I'm lying like a child in your arms
(Turn around)
Every now and then, I get a little bit angry
And I know I've got to get out and cry
(Turn around)

[Refrain]
[Chorus]
And we'll only be making it right
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Together, we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time (All of the time)
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
[Post-Chorus]
[Interlude]
(Turn around, bright eyes)
(Turn around, bright eyes)
[Verse 3]
(Turn around)
Every now and then, I know you'll never be the boy
You always wanted to be
(Turn around)
But every now and then, I know you'll always be the only boy
Who wanted me the way that I am
(Turn around)
(Turn around)
Every now and then, I know there's nothing any better
There's nothing that I just wouldn't do
[Refrain]
(Turn around, bright eyes)
Every now and then, I fall apart
(Turn around, bright eyes)
Every now and then, I fall apart
[Chorus]
And I need you now tonight (And I need you)
And I need you more than ever
And we'll only be making it right (And we'll never)
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Together, we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time (All of the time)
I don't know what to do, I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
Forever's gonna start tonight
(Forever's gonna start tonight)
[Post-Chorus]
A total eclipse of the sun
A total eclipse of the sun
[Outro]
C.: What is that? I thought that the total eclipse of the sun wasn’t until one-thirty, and I’s eleven forty-five. Oh, it’s just Buddy bones flying around, trying to land. He’ll land in a few minutes, (or hours, or days, or weeks, depending on if the posthumous version of him is smarter than the Earth version> We were housemates when we lived next door to d.c. and Eudora. I was found wandering the streets, and he once bit ten letter carriers in one day. Mom and Dad brought us both home for The Kennel and fostered and then adopted us, but Buddy Bones had to wear that ridiculous letter carriers uniform as terms of his parole.
I wonder where d.c. is? He told us to meet him at Wyne Manor fifteen minutes ago, and he’s rarely late. Since T is going to deal, he’s going to let us use his poker table. Oh, there he is.
d.c., where have you been?
d.: Eudora wanted me to water her new plants, so I waited until it stopped raining and watered them for fifteen minutes.
I then checked on every blade of grass while I was watering Eudora’s plants.
On an unrelated note, please thank Ralph for helping with the blog yesterday. He really does need to stop eating catnip, though. Please tell him
Or at all. When we finally got the blog on soical media, it repeated severl times. I didn't know how to put the video I'd taken of Buddy bones on the blog, but Ralph did. He thought it was so funny that he posted it over and over. I could only take down so many befor time expired.
C.: I will, d.c., but you put all the love and affection that you should show your family into your yard, don’t you, d.c.?
d.: Yessir, but I need to teach y’all to play poker right now.
E.: isn’t it all about being lucky with the cards you’re dealt? That's what my research says.
d.: NO! Poker involves skill and reading other player’s tells.
C.: Everyone has a tell. Professional poker players go to great lengths to hide theirs. Some will wear sunglasses, cowboy hats and heavy jackets in the sweltering Las Vegas heat to hide them while playing in the World Series of Poker tournament. Others will practice going through the same routine (such as walking around in a small circle) after each card is dealt. Still others grow full beards and practice keeping the same expression on their faces in a mirror, no matter what happens to them.
That’s what I know about Poker.
d.: Yes, Cal.E., that is the beginning of chapter eighteen: The Tell of my first published book, ‘THE MAGRUDER MYSTERIES PRECISION: A CRIME OF PASSION, but you need to know more than that. Now that Tux is here in his tails, we can get started.
Tune in tomorrow, folks, and find out if I’m successful in teaching tow alien cats how to play Poker, and if buddy Bones will ever land right here on Cal.E.’s Korner.
