Cal.E.'s Korner

I didn't want to do it but I got too lonely I had to call you up in the middle of the night I know it's awful hard to try to make love long distance But I really needed stimulation Though it was only my imagination

It's just a fantasy (oh oh oh oh) It's not the real thing (oh oh oh oh) It's just a fantasy (oh oh oh oh) It's not the real thing (oh oh oh oh) But sometimes a fantasy (oh oh oh oh) Is all you need, oh oh oh

When am I gonna take control get a hold of my emotions Why does it only seem to hit me in the middle of the night You told me there's a number I can always dial for assistance I don't want to deal with outside action Only you can give me satisfaction

Sure it would be better if I had you here to hold me Be better baby but believe me it's the next best thing I'm sure there's many times you've wanted me to hear your secrets Don't be afraid to say the words that move me Anytime you want to tell them to me

It's just a fantasy It's not the real thing It's just a fantasy It's not the real thing But sometimes a fantasy Is all you need Just a fantasy (it0s just a fantasy) It's not the real thing (it's not the real thing) It's just a fantasy (it's just a fantasy) It's not the real thing (it's not the real thing) It's just a fantasy (it0s just a fantasy) It's not the real thing (it's not the real thing) It's just a fantasy (it's just a fantasy) It's not the real thing (it's not the real thing) Just a fantasy (it0s just a fantasy) It's not the real thing (it's not the real thing) It's just a fantasy (it's just a fantasy) It's not the real thing (it's not the real thing)

C.: Well, the Astros lost, so I had time to watch the lost episodes of “Nine Lives to Give.” As it turns out, Earnestina was the one who shot her father. She pulled the file out of the file cabinet to get rid of the evidence, and then laid It on the Animal Control officer’s desk. She was afraid the Southeast Texas’ leading authority on solving cold cases, Blue Jay Mackerel would get his hands on it and figure it out.

It may or may not have been an accident, though. Earnestina was trying to put the gun up and apparently didn’t know it was loaded. Since the barrel of it was pointed at Earnest, it hit him in the chest, killing him within minutes. Earnestine tried to do CPR, but that was futile, so she fled. She was picked up by a cat trader who recognized her talents and entered her in the Cat Olympics. But, since her new owner didn’t have any connections or emotional ties to her, he didn’t Earnest when she injured her right hind leg doing a floor exercise. He hired a crooked bet to examine her, and she cleared Earnestina to compete.

Earnestina earned a gold medal and a lot of money for her new human, which he split with the vet. They began a torrid affair after that. In the meantime, Earestina was dealing with the guilt of killing her father and trying to recover from the leg injury.

Earnestina didn’t know whether or not she shot her dad on purpose. He abused her as a kitten, batting her ears and teasing her mercilessly. Earnest claimed that it was all in good fun, since his dad had treated him the same way when he was a kitten. Earnest also had stage four leukemia, and he would have died within days, anyway. Earnestina knew that he was in horrible pain, and she still loved her father despite the way he treated her. That’s why she came to visit when she heard that Earnest only had months to live.

In her heart, Earnestina believes that shooting her paw was an accident. Her dad’s human carelessly left a loaded pistol lying around, and Earnestina didn’t want any of his kids or animals to get hurt, so she tried to move it. However, she knew that the gun was pointed at her dad, but she didn’t know that it was loaded. She doesn’t think that Animal Control will believe that story, though. That’s how the story ended.

Now, I must get ready for a camping trip with all fourteen of my kittens. We need to take a break from working at The Kennel, and I want to get away from Houston because I don’t want to be reminded of how the Astros blew a chance to become the first team to repeat as World Series champions in this century, so I must bet busy packing now.
