THE PHOENIX
The Phenix is a legendary bird that can come back to life after dying. It is legendary, because this bird does not actually exist, and never has. However, there are animals and people that seem to be able to do just as the legendary Phenix was able to do. One of these people lived in the Human kennel.
Joe (not his real name) was a human kennel dweller who had volunteered to be an organ donor before he got thrown into the human kennel. Joe did not have a terminal illness, so the workers at the human kennel were very surprised when they found him unresponsive to verbal, tactile (touching) or painful stimuli. They tried to tickle his feet (is that really painful?) He did not respond to this, or when the human kennel workers pinched his toes and fingernails. He had no pulse, was not breathing and his blood pressure was 00/00. The (slang) medical term for this condition is “triple zero.” It means that the person is deceased.
Since Joe was at “triple zero,” the human kennel workers took him to the human morgue. The doctor there wanted to harvest his organs, so he took out a hack saw. However, there was something more urgent that the doctor felt obligated to attend to (it must have been eating), so he left Joe on his slab for 45 minutes. When the doctor returned, Joe was breathing, and his heart was beating. He did not know where he was. Because of this, the human kennel workers took him back to the human kennel to serve out the rest of his sentences SMH. He could have had his sentence commuted if he had just NOT woken up!
I’m Cal.E. Kat, with more food for thought.
