Attenshun! Prisoner escape mode! Hup two three four…
Paper bags and plastic hearts All our belongings in shopping carts it's goodbye But we got one more night Let's get drunk and ride around And make peace with an empty town We can make it right Throw it away forget yesterday We'll make the great escape And we won't hear a word they say They don't know us anyway Watch it burn Let it die 'Cause we are finally free tonight Tonight will change our lives It's so good to be by your side We'll cry but we won't give up the fight We'll scream loud at the top of our lungs And they'll think it's just 'cause we're young But we'll feel so alive Throw it away forget yesterday We'll make the great escape And we won't hear a word they say They don't know us anyway Watch it burn Let it die 'Cause we are finally free tonight All of the wasted time The hours that we've left behind The answers that we'll never find They don't mean a thing tonight Throw it away forget yesterday We'll make the great escape We won't hear a word they say They don't know us anyway Throw it away forget yesterday We'll make the great escape And we won't hear a word they say They don't know us anyway Throw it away forget yesterday We'll make the great escape And we won't hear a word they say They don't know us anyway Watch it burn Let it die 'Cause we are finally free tonight

d.: Well, Cal.E. texted me this picture with this caption under it. I had asked her to write yesterday’s blog solo while I attended some personal business but, apparently, there was some excitement at the Human Kennel two nights ago. It seems that one of the prisoners in minimum security escaped.
Only a few people know this, but cats have a much sharper sense of both smell and hearing than dogs do. Dogs are just infinitely more trainable, but Cal.E has her kittens well under control. So, Cal.E. and one dozen of her kittens are on the case as I type this. I suppose they haven’t accomplished their mission yet, because I haven’t seen or heard anything from Cal.E. today. But don’t worry if you live close to me or the human kennel where Cal.E. and I both work, escaped prisoners rarely stay close to where they escape from. And, if Cal.E. can’t find the prisoner, then the Texas Rangers will be called in. That is, unless the state government has decided that it's too expensive to have an elite special forces crew to supplement the state police and elected to defund the Rangers.
Don’t worry if you live in Greater Houston, though. The inmate probably has left the area by now. The only worry is what exactly constitutes “Greater Houston,” and what area the human kennel where Cal.E. and I work is located. My best estimate is that “Greater Houston” extends from Orange, as soon as you cross the Texas-Louisiana border, to Columbus; and from Galveston to Willis (or maybe Centerville. It could encompass all the area up to Waxahachie, though. How else would the population of “Greater Houston” be 7.2 million people? I haven’t been able to pinpoint the boundaries in the thirty-five years that I have lived here).
Anyway, Cal.E. and I work at a minimum-security human kennel. However, there are supposed multiple- murderers in our human kennel. Of course, they all claim to be either innocent, or that they were acting in self-defense. Some claim both (if that’s possible). So, my best advice to you is, for the next few days, don’t piss off anyone you don’t know (or maybe even that you do know, that person may be under duress from an outside source).
And keep one thing in mind as you may be reading this. This is a fictional blog with fictional characters and fictional situations, but are based on reality. Have a nice day (if you can!)
