C.: (ring) Hi, d.c., what are you doing?

d.: I’m paying bills.
C.: Doesn’t your ban have automatic draft for your bills, like T’s does?
d.: It does, but I prefer to be able to see what I’m paying.
C.: Well, okay, if when you get done, give me a call so we can write today’s blog.
d.: you might be on your own, Cal.E. Eudora worked on our income taxed and got it down to where we owed almost nothing, but I want to look at it and see if I can get it down to zero or below.
C.: How?
d.: By adding some business experience. I hope I have some receipts that will help that.
C.: Well…I’m glad that T handles all of that for both of us.
d.: Yes, that’s good…How long have you and T been married?
C.: Two and on-half blissful years (mainly because he’s hardly ever at home).
d.: And how long did you work at The Kennel before you married T?
C.: About two years. Why?
d.: did you ever file and income tax return before you married T?
C.: Do cats need to do that?
d.: I’m not sure, but everyone who has earned income in the United States pays payroll taxes, so you may have over payed. If you’d filled out an income tax return, you may have gotten a refund..
C.: Is it too late to do that?
d.: Probably so. But, you’ve pulled shifts at The Kennel that T might not be aware of since you tend to do that when T’s away and you’re bored. Maybe you should get your paycheck stubs and see if the IRS owes you any money due to you overpaying payroll taxes.
C.: What if I owe taxes?
d.: That would be bad, but you would need to pay those taxes to keep from being put into The Kennel agqain.
C.: For how long?
d.: IDK, Cal.E. until the taxes are paid off, I suppose.
C.: How would I be able to pay off my taxes if I’m in The Kennel where they don’t pay me for the job I get paid handsomely to do when I’m not in The Kennel?
d.:…Well, I would like to help you out and answer that question, but we’re out of time for today. Please join us tomorrow for another episode of Cal.E.’s Korner.
