Cal.E's Korner

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

End over end, neither left, nor the right

Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

Make me, oh, make me, Lord, more than I am

Make a piece in your master game plan

Free from the earthly temptation below

I've got the will, Lord, if you've got the toe

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

End over end, neither left, nor the right

Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

Bring on the brothers who've gone on before

And all of the sisters who've knocked at your door

All the departed, dear loved ones of mine

And stick 'em up front in the offensive line

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

End over end, neither left, nor the right

Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

End over end, neither left, nor the right

Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights

Dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

Yeah, dropkick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life

End over end, neither left, nor the right

Hello, and welcome to a special edition of Cal.E.’s Korner. Both d.c. and Cal.E. are getting ready to watch the big game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens today, so they asked me, Justin Case, to write their blog today.

I’ll make my prediction for that game based on the information that I’ve gathered about both teams.

Firstly, the Texans are undefeated in games in which they were leading at the end of the fourth quarter. But then, so are the Ravens. The Texans are also undefeated in the playoffs this season, and the Ravens haven’t played a game in the playoffs yet this season. Advantage, Texans.

However, the Ravens are the number one ranked team in the AFC, so advantage Ravens. The Texans have the number two kicker in the NFL, as far as I’m concerned, but the Ravens have the best kicker in the NFL. Advantage, Ravens.

The Ravens have an excellent quarterback and an established running game, but the Texans have the next superstar at quarterback in C.J. Stroud. Both defenses have been playing well of late, so that’s a tossup as well.

The Texans are undefeated in which they were trailing by less than three points and have the ball in the opponent’s red zone with at least one down left and less than ten seconds on the clock, provided they have a timeout. But, so are the Ravens. The Ravens are playing at home, so that’s worth three points, according to the experts, but I give the “it factor” to the Texans. They are the new hot team in the NFL. I also give a slight advantage to the Texans’ coaching staff as a whole, because they’re hungry to prove themselves. However, the Ravens have been the class of the NFL for several years.

In conclusion, I expect a close, well played game in which neither team will kick the other through the goalposts of life. So, I predict that, the team with the most points at the end of the game will win.

Remember, you heard it here first, on Cal.E.’s Korner.
