That's great, it starts with an earthquake
Birds and snakes, and aeroplanes
And Lenny Bruce is not afraid
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn
World serves its own needs
Don't mis-serve your own needs
Speed it up a notch, speed, grunt, no, strength
The ladder starts to clatter
With a fear of height, down, height
Wire in a fire, represent the seven games
And a government for hire and a combat site
Left her, wasn't coming in a hurry
With the Furies breathing down your neck
Team by team, reporters baffled, trumped, tethered, cropped
Look at that low plane, fine, then
Uh oh, overflow, population, common group
But it'll do, save yourself, serve yourself
World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed
Tell me with the Rapture and the reverent in the right, right
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam fight, bright light
Feeling pretty psyched
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine
Six o'clock, T.V. hour, don't get caught in foreign tower
Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn
Lock him in uniform, book burning, bloodletting
Every motive escalate, automotive incinerate
Light a candle, light a motive, step down, step down
Watch your heel crush, crush, uh oh
This means no fear, cavalier, renegade and steering clear
A tournament, a tournament, a tournament of lies
Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline
It's the end of the world as we know it (I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine (time I had some time alone)
I feel fine (I feel fine)
It's the end of the world as we know it (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine (time I had some time alone)
The other night I drifted nice continental drift divide
Mountains sit in a line, Leonard Bernstein
Leonid Brezhnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs
Birthday party, cheesecake, jellybean, boom
You symbiotic, patriotic, slam but neck, right, right
It's the end of the world as we know it (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it (time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine (time I had some time alone)

C.: Well, if I’m going to get published this year, I need to get started on my manuscript. I wrote the first chapter yesterday, but d.c. says that I need to add more backstory to it. I guess that leaves no time for me to get married this weekend, but it is what it is. Now, let’s see, was the puppy adopted from a shelter, or was she a puppy conceived in a puppy mill? Did Lance rescue her from certain death just in a nick of time, or did he buy her from a breeder? And, is it Lance’s dog, or a neighbor’s? Maybe she’s just some random dog off the street that Lance decided to adopt and give a good home to. Yes, that’s the puppy’s backstory. She was an unhoused dog that Lance (Hard) Boyle found and decided to adopt because he thought he could use her to help him solve cases.
Now, for Lance’s backstory. How did his nickname come about? Is he just a hard person to get along with, or is it just a play on words? Perhaps it’s a sarcastic nickname, and he has a soft heart. Yes, that’s it, why else would he adopt a random puppy off the street. Now, I’m getting somewhere (buzz). Who’s at my parent’s door in the middle of the day “Who is it?”
It’s Shon and Big Boy…
C.: If you’re really who you say you are, then you’ll know the password phrase. d.c. 's two pet cats would know what to say to get me to answer the door when my mom and dad aren’t here…
OPEN THIS DING DANG DOOR NOW!
C.: I really must talk to Mom and Dad about changing that password phrase. “Hi, guys, what can I do for you?”
S.&B.: Weeze has been hired by yo’ fiance, Tucker Tucker Two, ta makes sure dat yuse makes it ta yo’ rehearsal dinner tonight, as well as yo’ weddin’ tamorra.
C.: I’m sorry, fellas, but I’m involved with something. I’m writing a book, and I must send this manuscript to d.c. by the end of the weekend so that he can send it to a publisher. It should be published by the end of the year. I’ll give you each a signed copy when it comes out…
S.&B.: Weeze don’ needs no stinkin’ books, ‘cause weeze can’ read. Tucker give us each a year’s supply o’ catnip ta keeps a eye on yas sose that youse’ll make it to da church on time.
C.: Shon, Big Boy, come on, it’s me, your next door neighbor, Cal.E. Kat. You can do me a solid and let this slide, right?
S&B: No can do. Even doe Big Boy’s da size o’ Tucker, he don’ got da cat fightin’ skills o’ da five-time heavyweight cat fightin’ champion o’ da world. If’n we don’ do as asked, Tucker sez dat it’s da end o’ da world fo’ da two o’ us, as well as our family. Sose weeze gonna keeps a close eye on yas. We wants our catnip, and weeze don’ wants none o’ our family members ta disappear. Weeze’ll keeps a close eyes on yas ‘till da end o’ da weekend to makes sure yas marries Tucker Tucker Two, capish?
C.: Well, that’s all the time we have for today, folks. Please join us tomorrow for another.
episode of Cal.E.’s Korner.
Will Cal.E. be obligated to go through with her wedding to Tucker Tucker, Two, or will her cousin, ELAC, come and rescue her in a nick of time. If she does, will Shon and Big Boy still get their catnip that was promised to them by Tucker? And what about Lance (Hard) Boyle? What’s his backstory? Will we ever find out if Cal.E. isn’t successful in finding a publisher to publish her manuscript? Tune in tomorrow for answers to these and many other questions.
