And now the end is here
And so I face that final curtain
My friend I'll make it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more
I did it, I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
I saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much, much more
I did it, I did it my way
Yes, there were times I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself then he has naught
Not to say the things that he truly feels
And not the words of someone who kneels
Let the record shows I took all the blows and did it my way

C.: Dear Al, ( that’s d.c.’s alias…oops, he didn’t want me to tell anyone that). I left the lyrics to a song by your alter ego (a lot of people don’t know that Elvis sang that song as well as Frank Sinatra. d.c. and I like the Elvis version of the song better, but I digress). Given my present circumstances I feel it best for me to live my life “on the lam,” avoiding my former fiance, Tucker Tucker Two at all costs. Since he will, undoubtedly ask all of my friends where I am (that means you, d.c., you’re my only friend on this planet). I think it best that you never know where I am. I don’t want you to get into any trouble or get hurt over me. I have turned off my phone and hid it so that I can’t be tracked. Don’t try to find me, you will not succeed. I wish you, Eudora, your three sons, all of my fur covered brothers and sisters, as well as my human brothers all the best. If I should stay, I would only be in your way… no, wait, that’s the lyrics from another song. Anyway, please remember me fondly as your best fur friend, d.c., I mean Al.
Sincerely,
Cal.E. Kat
d.: Well, it looks like Cal.E. has flown the coop. She left me a note under her mom and dad’s bed, the last place I saw her, stating her wishes. She doesn't want me, or anyone else to look for her or to find her. However, missing her wedding to Tucker and then being found would probably be a worse fate than being married to him and being obligated to take care of his demented mother. Therefore, I must scour the earth to find my best fur friend. I will not rest until I find Calculating Einstein Kat (or, heaven forbid) her remains). I must be on my way to find my friend. l’ll look in every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in this area. But first, I’ll just rest a little, eat my dinner, watch a little T.V., and get on this the first thing tomorrow, or the next day, or, definitely by the day after that. I need to find her by next weekend so that Tucker and Tom don’t find her first.
Will d.c. find Cal.E. before the two criminals do? Will Cal.E. relent and come back to marry Tucker, Tucker Two? Or is Cal.E. gone forever, never to be found? For answers to these and other questions, questions you may not want to know that answer to, but we’ll tell you, anyway, so please join us tomorrow for another episode of Cal.E.’s Korner.
