C.: Well, D.C. is studying for a mid-term exam, so I have some free time. What;’ the old expression, “While the humans busy, the cat will…no, that’s not it. Anyway, I feel like watching some television on T’s giant screen television. So…oh, I think this is the one where Gilligan and  the other castaways finally get off the island…

Meanwhile, in a land far, far away, (one-half a block, to be exact, D.C. is tired of studying.

D.: (Man, my eyes are killing me!, I don’t think I have enough eyedrops to finish studying for this  exam. It’s a good thing it isn’t scheduled until later in the week. That way, I can go to the store and get more eyedrops. In the meantime, I’ll let my brain rest with my eyes….

I wonder” Why does your nose run, and your eyes dry out when you have allergies, or an upper respiratory infection? Shouldn’t evolution or adaptation, whatever you believe in, have taken care of that? Couldn’t the excess fluid be used to wet your eyes and not run out of your nose?

And, if the runway and a landing strip are basically the same piece of pavement, who decides which one gets used for which maneuver?   Is the air-traffic controller? And, since that is a very stressful job, do air traffic controllers get breaks? If so, who covers for them? Does one guy  (or gal) take the responsibility for what another person is supposed to be doing? What if that person decides to use what the first person designated as a landing strip as a runway? And why is it called a runway, anyway?

Landin strip makes sense, because airplanes land on them; but a plane is going much faster that any human or animal, even a cheetah,

can run when they take off.

And, why are the long stage models use to model clothes on called a runway? They don’t run, but they do walk fast, so I guess that makes sense

And why do I always get ideas for scripts when I need to be studying? And why isn’t Cal.E. doing what I asked her to do? Is it just because she’s a car, or does it go much deeper? Perhaps she had a bad kittenhood and secretly hates all adults. And why is part of my website in English and part of it still in Portugese. Oh well, Que bom que aprendi Português

C.: Well, that’s all the time we have for today, folks. That’s the end of this cat ta(i)le.

Please join us next time for another edition of Cal.E.’s Korner.
