.d.:: I liked the way you wrote the prologue of “The Kennel, Cal.E. I want to see what you wrote for Chapter One.

C.: Okay, d.c., but remember, I was on catnip when I wrote it.

d.: Okay, Ca.E. I will keep that in mind

THE KENNEL

CHAPTER ONE: THE HUMAN HAIRLESS FOSTER KITTENS

Let me stretch since I am just waking up. That’s better. I will add a few minutes to my busy day, just to tell you about the hairless human foster kittens that Mom and Dad took care of for (?) How would I know how many there were and how long Mom and Dad took care of them? I’m a CAT! The only number I need to know is the number of times I get fed a day, and that is two. That is how many we had to start with. Curly and Blue Eyes were the first two hairless human foster kittens we had, and they are still here! I guess this is their forever home. Big Red was here before even me, so he must have been born here. I will tell you more about these three later.

The story I want to tell you now is about the rest of the hairless human foster kittens. This place was lousy with them for longer than I care to remember! The most annoying ones were the ones that walked like me, with all four of their legs. I don’t know why all humans don’t walk as I do. It is so much faster than only sing one-half of one’s legs.

I think Mom liked the small hairless kittens. I heard her say that she wanted one that was the same gender that she and I are. Who could blame her? I am PERRRRRFECT! Most of the hairless human kittens were the same gender as Dad, Big Red, Blue Eyes, and Curly. There must be many different breeds of humans, though. Most of the hairless human foster kittens were different breeds from Big Red, Mom, and Dad.

Anyway, the hairless human foster kittens would pull my tail and bat my ears sometimes. I did not try to claw or bite them, though. They were only humans. They are not smart enough to know any better. Sometimes, I would go into the garage and hide from the young ones. This usually happened when there was more than one hairless human foster kitten walking on all fours. They would trap me and gang p on me! THAT I could do without. Two of them stayed so long that I thought that they would be like Curly and Blue Eyes and stay with us forever. I guess each one found another forever home. It is a wonderful thing when hairless human foster kittens find their forever home. I wish more people would try to do this. They need a home, just like homeless animals.

Well, I said that I would tell you about Curly, Bleu Eyes, and Big Red, but I am overdue for my nap. You will just need to tune in tomorrow for Chapter two: Curly, Blue Eyes, and Big Red.
