Cal.E's Corner

Nobody in his right mind would have left her; even my heart was smart enough to stay behind.

Oh hi! I was just singing the blues because I miss Lucia and the warden so badly. The puppy, not so much. I am happy with Mom and Dad and my brothers, but I still miss my former foster family. It is strange how one can be happy and sad at the same time.

d.c will not be joining us today. He is not working at his nursing job, but he is monitoring our new hotline. 1-1-9. It is a hotline for those who have absolutely no problems and just want to brag about it. In other words, he is resting peacefully. He's as lonely as the Maytag repairman. We have not had one phone call since we started monitoring our hotline. Even young kids (humans, not goats) always seem to find SOMETHING wrong in their lives, no matter how secure they feel. Life is funny like that.

dial 1-1-9 when you have no problems and you just wan to brag

I certainly will not be calling d.c. Besides missing my former foster family, I am a fan of all the football teams in Texas. The Texans probably did win by losing, though. They improved their position for next year’s draft. However, even my oldest brother’s alma mater, Sam Houston State (the defending national champion in the college football playoff subdivision) lost this weekend. I think that Blue Eyes may be sad, too. Army lost to their archrivals, Navy. It was not a good weekend for yours truly.

Speaking of which, I see an unfriendly face coming this way! I should NOT have bet catnip on any of those games! Yikes! I may need to get a job to pay him back. He is a big tomcat with sharp claws.

I need to go into hiding until I figure out how to pay Tom the Tabby for my gambling debt. I will let y’all know when I can come out of hiding!
