Cal.E.'s Corner

Cal.E. Unplugged

C.: Well, I can’t read anymore of d.c.’s book because my wifi connection was cut off on my phone. I haven’t had enough time to pay my bill yet, so my wifi was cut off. This will give me time to finish my questionnaire about the book I wrote last year. It’s called “The Cat’s Meow.” It’s about a cat who comes to earth from another planet. The cat can talk, but only to one person. The cat and that person start working together and writing a blog together. It’s autobiographic.

Question 1: Why did you decide to write your book?

Because I have an interesting story to tell.

Question 2: What makes your book compelling (why would anyone want to read it)?

It’s about an unusual cat that can talk. She finds another cat from her home planet. They marry and have one litter of fourteen kittens. She was royalty on her home planet, so she doesn’t like the domestic life. Raising fourteen kittens is not what she ants to do, so she leaves her husband and hops a truck to Houston. That is where she meets her friend who can talk to animals. He was raised on a farm, so he can understand the cat. He warns her not to talk to others, because she would be experimented on if others knew she could talk.

Question 3: What is your book about?

I think I just answered that in detail.

Question 4: Who is your target audience?

My target audience is other cats who can read and talk, as well as humans who can talk to cats and other animals. Hmm. Maybe that’s why only d.c., my ex-husband Tom and I are the only ones who have bought my book. Maybe I should try what d.c. does and write both fiction and nonfiction. I’ll give it a try.

It was a dark and stormy night in the galaxy best known for its Planet of the Talking Cats. The queen of the planet had just been exiled to another galaxy by the king of the planet… That sounds really familiar.
