SCHROD
The tabby in the picture is a likeness of Schrod. It is not a picture of Jethro’s brother, but it does look like him. (how many orange tabby cats are there? It is more than two, I DO know that. That is as high as I can count, though).
Schrod is short for Schrödinger’s cat. He is Curley’s cat. He got his name because of the way he sleeps. We cannot tell if he is dead or alive when he sleeps. That is why we call him Schrod. The story today is not about Schrod’s human, though. Curly is not in the human kennel. He still lives at my house. The story today is about a human that no one could tell If HE was dead or alive, either. He was in the human kennel for the rest of his life for committing a heinous crime (whatever that means).
The human in the human kennel was taken to the human vet when he did not respond when the human kennel workers called his name to count him. They could not wake him up. He had no heartbeat and no respirations. He also did not have any blood pressure. Dad says that doctors and nurses call that “triple zero.” I do not know what that means. It must refer to a higher number than two is my guess.
Anyway, the human kennel workers took Mr. Schrödinger to the human hospital. The vet there said that he was dead, so he started to perform an autopsy on his body to see why he died. After 45 minutes, Mr. Schrödinger came back to life. The vet was shocked. He called the human kennel workers back to the morgue and told them to take Mr. Schrödinger back to the human kennel. He had to serve out the rest of his sentence. Just think, he could have had part of his sentence commuted if he had not come back to life!
You are probably wondering how a cat knows all of these stories about humans. Let’s just say, I have my sources. All I am asking for is a few minutes of your time, after my daily nap. Speaking of which, it is that time again. I need my twenty hours of sleep! Tune in tomorrow (after nap time, of course) for another story from Cal.E. Kat.
