Grey
I can't even hide it
I haven't stopped thinking 'bout
Your lips, mm, your lips, yeah
I'm losing my mind
It's been too long, I'm missin'
Your kiss, yeah, your kiss
You
You've been there through it all
You answered all my calls
You
I can't believe I let you go
Tears and slammin' doors
I'm fallin' down on the floor
Beggin', beggin', please
You don't want me no more
I never hurt like this before
I'm beggin', beggin', please
Now every day it rains
And I'm the one to blame
Baby, I walked away
When you came to stay, oh
Now everything's grey
I'm so, so sorry
I know that's not enough but
It's true, yeah, it's true
I can't believe that I
Thought I could ever leave
Without you, yeah, without you
You
You've been there through it all
You answered all my calls
Ooh
I should've never let you go
Tears and slammin' doors
I'm fallin' down on the floor
Beggin', beggin', please
You don't want me no more
I never hurt like this before
I'm beggin', beggin', please
Now every day it rains
And I'm the one to blame
Baby, I walked away
When you came to stay, oh
Now everything's grey
Oh
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
Tears and slammin' doors
I'm fallin' down on the floor
Beggin', beggin', please
You don't want me no more
I never hurt like this before
I'm beggin', beggin', please
Now every day it rains
And I'm the one to blame
Baby, I walked away
When you came to stay, oh
Now everything's grey

C.: Hey, d.c., did you come up with the answers to my mind-clearing questions?
d.: Yes, Cal.E. I did. Pants is the shortened version of the word “pantaloon,” which was, at the time the word came into being, two separate garments tied together at the waist. Thus, the word “pants,” is the shortened version of the word “pantaloons.'' Besides, “pant” is something an animal does when it is too hot and trying to cool off. Since some animals cannot sweat, this is the way they keep from overheating. Calling clothing garments “pants helps avoid confusion.
“Shirt” means short garment in Dutch and German. A garment is called a “blouse” because it blouses out. That is what the pirates of old wore, “bloused out” shirts.
C.: What about horses? They don’t pant, and neither do I!
d.: Horses CAN sweat, Cal.E. That is why they don’t pant. Cats usually do not pant, because y’all don’t usually put out THAT much effort. If I ever see you panting, though, Cal.E,I will need to keep a close eye on you. The only time I have ever seen a cat pant is when it was near death.
C.: So, d.c., I have seen you both sweat and pant after a hard workout. Were YOU near death?
d.: I may have felt like it, Cal.E., but I was not near death. Humans can do both. That is why we cool off faster than dogs do, as a rule.
Now, I have a mind-clearing question for YOU!
C.: Okay, shoot.
d.: Is gray a color?
C.: Of course. There is a gray Crayola in my crayon box. That is how I know that it is a color!
d.: But is it REALLY a color? Does your box of crayons also contain the “colors” black and white?
C.: ???
d.: “The ‘color’ gray is made up of two hues that do not actually qualify as colors. Gray is made up of the black hue, which is, by definition, the presence of all color and the absence of light. The white hue is, conversely, the presence of all light and the absence of all color. The two hues are comprehensive opposites. However, when these two hues are combined on a canvas, the result is the ‘color’ gray. The ‘color' can be either ‘light gray’ or ‘dark gray’ depending on how much of each hue is added to the canvas. There is an unlimited number of possibilities for the shades the ‘color’ gray to take on.”*
C.: Whoa! Mind blown. I must sleep on this to come up with the correct answer.
