Jethro
I am so excited! There is a new paperback book that I can shred with my claws that comes out today. It is called Precision; The Original Magruder Mystery, by: d.c. scott. It is available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon bookstores. The online version has been available on those two stores’ websites, as well as on Apple ibook as an ebook for the last couple of weeks, but I cannot shred an ebook. On with the story.
Jethro is the cat in the picture. He is not in the shelter anymore. He found a permanent home (mine). He is okay. He just likes to eat. Jethro is a BIG boy. He is also not too bright, as you may be able to tell by his picture. The story today is about Jethro’s human, however.
Jethro’s human was put into the human kennel for killing a cop. He is much brighter than his pet is, though. He figured out a way to get special treatment in the human kennel. He was able to move around while the kennel officers were counting the humans in their kennel. This made it easier for him to move around in his wheelchair. It also made it easier for him to sell narcotics to the other humans in his kennel. That does not sound very nice to me!
Like Muffin’s human, he could walk. He just chose not to, or so it would seem. The human vet said that they both had something called C.R.A.P. I do not know what that stands for, but the human vet said that they were both full of it. It DOES sound painful.
Jethro is here because his human died in the human kennel. He insisted on taking his narcotics for his C.R.A.P. when his blood pressure was too low. The state had him sign a sheet of paper saying that they were not responsible in the event of his death when his blood pressure was below 90/60; which is the human threshold for taking narcotics. I don’t know what MY blood pressure must be to gnaw on catnip, but I am still here. So is Jethro. He REALLY likes catnip
Interestingly enough, no one seemed to care when Jethro’s human died in the human kennel. Jethro’s human did not treat his fellow humans well. I do not think that Jethro would have liked to live with someone like that, anyway. So, my humans brought him to MY house. they are much nicer than Jethro’s human was (and they are still alive, too). I don’t mind. I don’t take up any room, and everyone seems to be able to walk right through me. Anyway, Jethro is a permanent member of my household now. He also has a brother, but THAT is a story for another day. Until next time, take care!
