C.: Workin' in some dog crud
Goin' down, down, down
Workin' in some dog crud
Oops, about to slip down
d.: And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every byway Oh, and more, much more than this I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway Oh, and more, much more than this I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and I spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall And did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried I had my fill, my share of losing And now, as tears subside I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that And may I say, not in a shy way Oh no, oh no, not me I did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got If not himself, then he has naught To say the words he truly feels And not the words of one who kneels The record shows I took the blows And did it my way
The record shows I took the blows And did it my way

d.: How do you like my new campaign song, Freddie? I wrote it after working a double twelve-hour shift at the human kennel and then working another eight-hour shift at the animal kennel.
C.: I do NOT think that the average working person will relate to this song (especially after working for all four of my waking hours at the animal clinic cleaning our dog cages for a measly $30.00!). Doing it “Your Way” is NOT what voters want to hear. They want to hear that you will let them have it “their way.” Besides, that is a song that Paul Anka wrote for you back in the 1960’s! Frank Sinatra then made it even more famous than you did when HE sang it. Give me some time, and I will write a better campaign song for you. THAT will be better than cleaning out dog cages! All you must do is pay me twice what I am making at the animal kennel. Let’s see, it will take me close to 150 hours to write the song…carry the three, divide by two, and multiply by the square root of forty; just give me $2200.00 and we will call it even!
d.: Let me sleep on it. Ah will give you an answer in the mornin’.
C.: NO! Don’t SLEEP before you…
d.: The record shows, I took the blows....zzzzz
