C.: I wonder where d.c. is? Oh, I just got a text from him. It seems that both T and Tom want him to train them for their upcoming cat fight to decide who really is the WACKO champion of the world. T needs to lose about 4.5 pounds for the cat fight, so he probably needs the most help. Plus, he has plenty of money….

But Tom needs to gain about the same amount of weight, and he can well afford to pay d.c. a pretty penny to train him, so I don’t know which cat d.c. is going to train. One things for sure, though, he’ll need to make a choice between these two cats. He can’t train both cats. Because that would be unethical, or would it?

If d.c. can train both cats to fight to the best of their ability, is that unethical? And what, exactly, does that word mean? Some humans see things one way, and others another way. For instance, the military and the government sometimes spread untrue rumors to keep some of their employees safe during a difficult time, but lying is unethical, isn’t it? And what if someone inadvertently tells a lie? S/he may have been led to believe that something was true when it reached his or her ears, but may find out years or decades later that this was an untruth.

Life itself on this planet is confusing enough, so I hope d.c. makes the right decision. We should find that out tomorrow, right here on Cal.e.’s Korner.
