C.: Hmm. It looks like D.C. left me a message on my phone. Maybe he is calling to apologize for not sending me a script for several days. I’ll check the message and see…
Hi, Cal.E., I don’t have much time so…
What did he mean by that? Did he mean that he didn’t have much time to talk? Is that why he hasn’t bothered to send me a script in several days? I’ll just call him and see…No, if he is busy, he won’t answer his phone, and since it’s almost time for my early evening cat nap, so I won’t answer my phone when he calls back…We could be playing telephone tag for hours, or days, or weeks, or even years! So, I’ll nix that idea.
T has the car,

so driving down to his house is out of the question. The only cars left in the garage in Wayne Manor

have automatic transmissions, and I don’t know how to drive a car with one of those. And, if I walk the whole one-half block to his house, I’ll be tired. If he’ means he doesn’t have much time left on this planet, then there will be a lot of people bringing Eudora

bereavement meals and offering condolences. That’s probably it. D.C. is no Spring Chicken.

Also, if what he is dying from is contagious, it may be transferable to felines, so I’d better not walk down there. It’s better to just have one dying blogger than two. Still, I would like to know what he meant by saying he didn’t have much time.
I’ll just call and let the phone ring three times. If D.C. doesn’t answer by the third ring, it means that he’s not doing well and I’ll need to write the blog solo…

not him, by myself for the rest of my nine lives.
D.: (Ring) Oh, hi, Cal.E., I was expecting your call.
C.: You were?
D.: Yes, but I left that message for you several hours ago, so I’m afraid we’re out of time for today. That’s the end of this cat ta(i)le. Please join us next time for another edition of Cal.E.’s Korner.
