Cal.E.'s Korner

d.: While I'm driving back to the drug store to get the only thing I forgot to get this morning, I need to call Cal.E. so we can write today’s blog (ring). I don't have much time, because this supplement that helps me remember things only lasts 24 hours, and I forgot to take it this morning. (ring) and it doesn't work if you forget to take it.

I’ll just let my mind wander until she answers the phone.

(Are people with bad memories really less likely to get Alzheimer’s Disease, or is it just that, when they do get it, no one can tell the difference? (ring).

C.: Hi, d.c. I'm sorry I didn't answer on the first ring, but i was in the sandbox.

d.: Oh, hi, Cal.E., I’m glad you called. me, because I was about to do something; but I cannot remember what. Maybe you can help me figure out what I was about to do.

C.: d.c., you called me, so that’s probably what you were going to do.

d.: No, that doesn’t sound right. I’ll figure it out. Anyway, what can I do for you today?

C.: d.c., did you take your memory supplement today?

d.: Man, I knew that I forgot to get something when I went to the drug store today.

C/.: Maybe you should consider trying a new supplement to help you remember things.

d.: Why?

C.:…N-Never mind. As long as we’re talking on the phone, maybe we can write today’s blog.

d.: I really would like to, Cal.E, but I forgot to get something at the pharmacy today, so I need to go back and get it, whatever it is. I’ll figure it out when I get there. It’s still open for a few more hours, so that should give me time to remember what it was.

C.: Why don’t you take me with you so that I can help you remember what you need to buy.

d.: That sounds like a good idea.
