Cal.E.'s Korner

d.: Come on, Cal.E., you need to wake up. I said WAKE UP!

C.: Oh, thanks for waking me up, d.c. I was having the worst dream. I was at work, surrounded by hundreds of horrible, rude, obnoxious and uneducated people, and there were inmates there, too.

d.: Cal.E., you are at work. Don't you see the sign on the restroom door? Your in the drug recovery section cleaning cages.

You volunteered to substitute to come in for Ralph because he and his band are doing their ADIDAS tour. I woke you up so you wouldn’t get in trouble for sleeping on the job.

C.: Really?

d.: Yes. Ralph and his band have hit the big time. No more playing small venues for that band. They’re playing back allies in Arcola, Dickinson, Indian Springs, Anahuac and Sealy. They’re playing all the small to middle-sized towns in Southeast Texas, or, at least the southwestern tip of it.

C.: I need to talk to Ralph. I know a lot about caterwauling bands, and mine hasn’t been playing any venues lately.

d.: So, the RoCKats are on an extended hiatus?

C.: Yes, but I could sign Ralph’s band up for the ultimate caterwauling tour.

d.: Do you mean the CONVERSE tour?

C.: Yes, they could play Conroe, Orange, Navasota, Victoria, Egypt, Rosharon, Silsby and Eagle Pass.

d.:  That would be cool.

Meanwhile,

in another part of Southeast Texas…

Thank you Greater Orange and the rest of the Golden Triangle! To those of you  listening to this concert on KING/KONG Orange/Anahuac in Beaumont and Port Author; we’re the RoCKats with our new bassist and lead singer…

d.: Tune in tomorrow, folks, and see if Cal.E. will be replaced by her youngest tom kitten as the lead singer for the band that was named for her..
