Sunday, February 9. 2025 Super Bowl Sunday) 1500 hours (3 p.m.)
Cal.E. is entertaining herself at Wayne Manor

C.; I don’t have any interest in the Puppy Bowl. I’ll just read this dog joke book for cats:
Q.: What does a cat say to a dog who has no legs?
A.: Anything s/he wants. The dog can’t do anything
C.: That’s really funny!
Meanwhile at The Kennel, d.c. is very busy:

Sarge: This guy dropped a running circle saw on his foot while he was at work. Can you help my man out?

d.: Well, I’ve got all these guys with gastrointestinal distress in front of him. Some have puked so much on their clothes that they're in their underwear . And,... it looks like you did a good job of applying pressure and putting a gauze dressing on the foot. Let me triage these guys and I’ll be right with you.
“Okay, everyone whose thrown up three or more times, get in from of the line. ( I don’t have time to call anyone for help, but this protocol written by a doctor will allow me to triage and treat these guys. This is an emergency situation, and I’m the ranking medical officer, since I’m the only medical officer here.
“Okay, here y’all go. Take this up to five times a day. This will have to run it’s course, so expect to feel bad for two to three days.
“Everyone who’s thrown up twice or more, your next. And those who have only thrown up once, or just feel queasy, your next.
Just take this antiemetic after you throw up, not before. I know it’s unpleasant, but your body is smart. It knows what doesn’t belong inside of it, and it’s trying to get rid of it, so let it. Then take the medicine. A;; of you get as much rest as possible and sip as much water as you can hold. Unfortunately, it will take up to 72 hours to feel better, but, even though you feel like you will, you shouldn’t die from this (although the ones with more severe cases may prefer that to feeling like they do now).

“Okay, Sarge, I still have a couple of hours before I must clock out to keep from incurring overtime as I’ve been instructed. Let me see this guy’s foot. Unwrapped the bandage slowly… (oh, no. It looks like no Super Bowl for me, due to working overtime. I might as well start the paperwork now).
