d.: (I need to go to Port Author and check on T. Puppy. She sounded a little down yesterday when she called. She only barked once. IDK if that was all the time she had before undergoing treatment for her front shoulder, or she was just down. If she gets too depressed to train and do her rehab exercises, she though, she won’t be able to make the Astros’ D League team next year.
I’d better call Cal.E. and see if she can take some time out of her campaigning school for Ruler of the Planet of the Talking Cats and write our blog today….Hmm, she didn’t answer. I’ll leave a voicemail, then).
“Hey, Cal.E., it’s d.c. I need to go check on T. Puppy today since it’s my day off from work. Can you write the blog today, please?”
(Okay, I’ll just drive the two hours to Port Author and check on T. Puppy.
Two hours later
d.: (Hmm. That P.T. said that, if I watched him help T. Puppy do her exercises, I could help her do them at home. Then, she could come home with me and not be homesick anymore. He said that it was okay, to video tape him, so I’ll just use my phone because my memory isn’t great…) (ring) Oh, hi Cal.e., can you write the blog today, I’m kinda busy…
C.: You’re busy?! I have to run a campaign against two tom cats and my campaign manager just quit on me. He said that my husband, Tucker Tucker Two, a.k.a. the Cat Fighter Formerly Known As The Tuxedo (who really needs a shorter nickname) Now Simply Known As T Because Triple T Was Already Taken’s check wasn’t any good on this planet. He said he wouldn’t work for free, so I have to do everything myself.
d.: Oh, come on, Cal.E. I’m in Port Author with T. Puppy Katt, and I really need to pay attention to what the physical therapist is doing so I can take her home with me and do the exercises with her myself.
C.: No can do, d.c., and that’s my final answer.
(Now, where was I? Oh, yes Catness is kicking tail again. I just love these Hungry Games books).
d.: That’s just great. I hold in my hand an instrument that possesses more technology than it took to land a man on the moon, and I’m using it to argue with a cat and take a picture of someone I just met, so I guess I’ll drive back to Houston with T. Puppy and write tomorrow’s script for Cal.E.’s Korner tonight since I must work tomorrow. That P.T. is done, so I suppose that’s all the time we have for today. Please join us tomorrow for anther episode of Cal.E.’s Korner.
