D.: What's that noise? Oh, my phone must be ringing.

Hello.

C.: Hey, D..C., why didn’t you send me a script for the last days?

D.: I told you, Cal.E., I was going to a relative’s birthday party, and it was out of town.

C.: but I thought you said the main part of the party, the meal, was in the afternoon.

D.: Yes, and then we had an after party at the rental house.

C.: What did y’all do  at the after party?

D.: We just got caught up, since we hadn’t seen each other for a few months. Then we watched a little television.

C.: So, y’all went back to the house and watched the late, late show?

D.: No, that wasn’t on yet.

C.: The late show, then?

D.: No, that hadn’t started, either.

C.: The news?

D.: Well….not the ten o’clock news. It hadn't started yet, either.

C.: Say good night, D.C.

D.: Good night, D.C.
