This thing called love
I just can't handle it
This thing called love
I must get 'round to it
I ain't ready
Crazy little thing called love
This thing (this thing) called love (called love)
It cries (like a baby), in a cradle all night
It swings (woo), it jives (woo)
Shakes all over like a jellyfish
I kinda like it
Crazy little thing called love
There goes my baby
She knows how to rock and roll
She drives me crazy
She gives me hot and cold fever
She leaves me in a cool, cool sweat
I gotta be cool, relax
Get hip and get on my tracks
Take a back seat, hitchhike
And take a long ride on my motorbike
Until I'm ready
Crazy little thing called love
Yeah
I gotta be cool, relax
Get hip and get on my tracks
Take a back seat, hitchhike
And take a long ride on my motorbike
Until I'm ready (ready Freddie)
Crazy little thing called love
This thing called love
I just can't handle it
This thing called love
I must get 'round to it
I ain't ready
Crazy little thing called love
Crazy little thing called love (yeah, yeah)
Crazy little thing called love (yeah, yeah)
Crazy little thing called love (yeah, yeah)
Crazy little thing called love (yeah, yeah)
Crazy little thing called love (yeah, yeah)
Crazy little thing called love (yeah, yeah)
Crazy little thing called love (yeah, yeah)
Crazy little thing called love (yeah, yeah)

Crazy Little Thing Called Love lyrics © Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC
d.: Love is a crazy thing. It can lead one into situations that nothing else would, like trying to get by someone with a shotgun drawn on you to get to the person who is the most important to you
C.: Or promising to give up something that’s important to you, like catnip.
d.: Have you kicked the habit yet, Cal.E.?
C.: No, not yet. That may be because I haven’t found the “right cat” yet. I thought I had when I found Tom, but he wasn’t the right one. I guess having in common that we could both talk, as well as being from a planet where that isn’t an unusual thing just wasn't enough. We needed more than that to stay together.
d.: Like having fourteen kittens together?
C.: You would think that would be enough to hold us together, but it wasn’t. When I saw my chance to escape Tom and my situation, I hopped right on that truck, not worrying about where it was going or what Tom and my kittens would do without me. I don’t think that you would do that to Eudora, would you, d.c.?
d.: No, nor would she do that to me. Neither one of us is fast enough to catch up to a moving truck. Then again, we only have two legs and two feet, unlike a cat…
C.: The truck was sitting still when I hopped on it. Besides, I already had one failed marriage, which wasn’t my fault. I didn’t know that my husband, the king of the Planet of the Talking Cats wanted the meal that I saw. I just knew that I was hungry.
d.: But he loved you enough not to have you killed. He simply banned you from his planet and galaxy. Love made your husband not kill you.
C.: I think that he just didn’t want to clean up the mess! A royal’s remains can’t be left to clean up after the sun sets. He let his whole work detail go before the incident with the dead mouse happened.
d.: Well, he could have delayed your execution until the next morning. Maybe your one true love is your first husband, Cal.E. Maybe you should go back to your home planet and give him another chance.
C.: No, I don’t think so, d.c. It was an arranged marriage. My parents arranged for me to marry the king of my planet when I was a young kitten. We were both the same age, but everyone knew that Tom would be king when his dad died. It happened more quickly than most of us expected, though. Tom’s dad had an accident and was killed while he was riding a horse and fell off of it. He broke his neck in three places. That killed him instantly. Tom then took over as king. His mom had no power, even though she was the queen, but females have no power on my home planet. They are still not highly regarded on my home planet. That is why I would just like to stay here, with Mom, Dad, you, and my kittens on this planet. At least here I get some respect because of my job.
d.: Well, if that’s your decision, Cal.E., I support it. It’s good to have someone to talk to and to help me write my blog.
C.: That’s all the time we have for today, folks. Please join us tomorrow for another episode of Cal.E.’s Corner.
