This blog post is dedicated to the memory of the undisputed King of Rock ‘N’ Roll, Elvis Aaron Pressley
d. Cal.E., what ARE y’all doing?!
C.: Oh, hi., d.c. The neighborhood cats and I decided to form a band. We are going to call ourselves the rockats. We reasoned, if you and Ralph can do it, we could too!
d.: (Badly). Well, maybe you and your bandmates can help me. I’m trying to come up with a slogan to help the American Armed Services get more recruits. Maybe you and your band could set it to music. Listen to this: Many are called, few are chosen. Fewer still succeed, and even fewer survive!
C.: Needs work, d.c. If you are going to try to encourage people to JOIN the services, you should be a little more upbeat. Something like this: Join the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marines and get your kicks on Route sixty-six.
d.: That makes no sense, Cal.E. What does a road through middle America have to do with the armed services?
C.: Well, if you don’t like that one, what about this: I’m caught in a trap, I can’t hold back, because I love you too much baby. Oh, why can’t you see, what you’re doing to me, when you don’t believe a word I’m saying?
d.: Again, what do Elvis Pressley’s “Suspicious Minds” lyrics have to do with the armed services?
C.: I was just having fun. You and Ralph get to sing, why can’t I?
d.: (Is THAT what she calls it?) Those lyrics have NOTHING to do with the armed services, Cal.E
C.: How about this, “Wise men say..”
d. : NO! NO! NO! Just NO! Do NOT ruin THE best song Elvis ever sung by making it a commercial for the armed services! I will just start again and do this by myself (as usual)
C.: Suit yourself, d.c. I need to practice, anyway. You know what they say, “practice makes music”…
d.: It’s “Practice makes PERFECT” Cal.E. (And in your and your band's case, it will take a LOT of practice!) So, I guess I will let y’all get back to practicing and I will work on my jingle a little longer. I guess I’ll just do it my way.
And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this I did it my way

ELAC.: How does this thing start?! I cannot be the ruler of the universe if I can’t get my perpetual motion machine to start. I must study the manual some more, I suppose.
Back on Earth
Ralph.: Paydirt! (literally)
You look like an angel (look like an angel) Walk like an angel (walk like an angel) Talk like an angel But I got wise
You're the devil in disguise Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise
You fooled me with your kisses You cheated and you schemed Heaven knows how you lied to me You're not the way you seemed
You look like an angel (look like an angel) Walk like an angel (walk like an angel) Talk like an angel But I got wise
You're the devil in disguise Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise
I thought that I was in heaven But I was sure surprised Heaven help me, I didn't see The devil in your eyes
You look like an angel (look like an angel) Walk like an angel (walk like an angel) Talk like an angel But I got wise
You're the devil in disguise Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise
You're the devil in disguise Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise

Buddy Bones: EXCELLENT! My WHOLE plan is coming together! Ralph has found the money, and ELAC put the perpetual motion machine together for me! She doesn’t know that I am the ONLY one who can start the machine with this remote in this pocket, I mean this pocket, or is it this one? CURSES! Foiled again! Back to the old drawing board!
