Let's start a union, calling every human It's one for all and all for one Let's live in unison, calling every citizen It's one for all and all for one We don't want war, can't take no more It's drastic time for sure We need a antidote and a cure Coz do you really think Mohamed got a problem with Jehovah We don't want war imagine if any prophet was alive In current days amongst you and I You think they'd view life like you and I do Or would they sit and contemplate on why Do we live this way, act and behave this way We still live in primitive today Coz the peace in the destination of war can't be the way There's no way, so people, just be a woman, be a man Realize that you can't change the world by changing yourself And understand that we're all just the same So when I count to three let's change Let's start a union, calling every human It's one for all and all for one Let's live in unison, calling every citizen It's one for all and all for one Got no time for grand philosophy I barely keep my head above the tide I got this mortgage, got three kids at school What you're saying is the truth, but really troubles me inside I'd change the world if I could change my mind If I could live beyond my fears Exchanging unity for all my insecurity Exchanging laughter for my tears Let's start a union, calling every human It's one for all and all for one Let's live in unison, calling every citizen It's one for all and all for one I don't know, y'all, we in a real deposition In the midst of all this negative condition Divided by beliefs, different sink and religion Why do we keep missing the point in our mission? Why do we keep killing each other, what's the reason? God made us all equal in his vision I wish that I could make music as a religion Then we could harmonize together in this mission Listen, I know it's really hard to make changes But two of us could help rearrange this curse Utilizing all the power in our voices Together we will unite and make the right choice And fight for education, save the next generation Come together as one I don't understand why it's never been done So let's change on the count of one It takes one, just one And then one follows the other one And then another follows the other one Next thing you know you got a billion People doing some wonderful things People doing some powerful things Let's change and do some powerful things Unity could be a wonderful thing Let's start a union, calling every human It's one for all and all for one Let's live in unison, calling every citizen It's one for all and all for one Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Allan Pineda / George Jr Pajon / Gordon Sumner / Stacy Ferguson / Will Adams Union lyrics © BMG Rights Management, Reservoir Media Management Inc, Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner Chappell Music, Inc d.: Hi, Cal.E. You look frustrated on Facetime. What is wrong, and why are you playing a Black Eyed Peas song in the background? C.: THAT is the song of the strongest union in Canada, The Association of Working Pets of Canada or AWPOC for short. I did not know it existed. I ran afoul of its members today... d.: Wait, start at the beginning, please. C.: OKAY. I was born on a far away planet. I was the most adorable kitten ever born on my native planet... d.: Not THAT far back. Just tell me what happened today, please. C.: Okay. So, I try to walk into the kennel with my spreadsheet, because I stayed up all night figuring out how many kennel cells each pet should clean in an hour to keep up with demand. The guard stopped me at the entrance, because he said I could not bring anything not WORK- RELATED into the kennel. I showed him my spreadsheet, and he called the warden, who said to let me in. Anyway, I came up with twelve cages per hour for the pets to clean to make the business more efficient. I also advocated for six hour shifts instead of four hour shifts (at the same pay). d.: I think I may see your problem. You are trying to do too much too soon. You were only required to clean ten cages an hour to earn your bonus. And these pets have probably never had a quota before. AND you only worked four-hour shifts when you first started your job. C.: True, but then I started working double and triple shifts and coming in on my days off. I reason that, with longer shifts, there will be less need for workers, so some could be let go. That would save on insurance and other benefits. I skipped my lunch breaks to meet my quota. I reason that these pets could stop eating catnip on the job, and skip one meal a day. Many of them NEED to do that! d.: Cal.E. I see why the union got involved. You cannot take away work breaks, or expect pets to work more hours for the same pay! C.: Well, I need to figure something out before I fly (first class, of course) to Denver. The Canadian chapter of the union called the American chapter, The Association of Working Pets in the United States, or AWPUS. They are going to organize a picket line that I may not be able to cross! Tell me what to do! d.: I would start by lowering your travel expenses, as well as our expectations, for now. Why does a seven pound cat need a first-class seat on an airplane? I suppose you also rented a limo to take you to the kennel in Denver. Just use a ride-share service, like LYFT Or Uber! Lowering your expenses will allow you to lower the amount of work that needs to be done to turn a profit at The Kennel in Denver. Stop eating Tuna TarTar at four and five star restaurants on company money, as I am sure you are doing. AND work beside your coworkers, like you are one of them. THAT will earn their respect! C.: (Heavy sigh) I guess I could try it your way, d.c. I do not want to lose this job during the first week. The first thing I must do, then, is go buy some work clothes. I will order them online, from a boutique. IF I expedite the delivery to come to my hotel room immediately, then the clothes should be here before I leave. Of course, it will cost The Kennell more money, but I am worth it! d.: Some cats never learn! (And now I am SURE that this will end badly!)
