d.: So, Cal.E., since the big cat fight has been put off until tomorrow, what are we going to talk about today?
d.: So, Cal.E., since the big cat fight has been put off until tomorrow, what are we going to talk about today?

C.: Well, we could talk about betting sights for the big game, as well as the big cat fight.

d.: Oh, Cal.E., you know I don’t bet on things I can’t control, which is most things….

C.: Yes, I know, but I found a website that is specifically geared to people your age (or older, if any of them are still alive).

d.: So, what’s so special about this website?

C.: It lets people your age and older bet on instant replays

d.: Well, that does sound like a sure thing. What is the web address for this site?

C.: Oh, I couldn’t get the web address, but I did write down the number to call to place your bets.

d.: Okay, what’s the number?

C.: 1-800-SEN-IORs

d.: Why would I be calling that number again?

C.: Maybe you shouldn’t unless Trey

or Ace is watching the game with you.

d.: No, they both are set up to watch the big game at their own homes, so I’ll just be watching the game all alone on my one hudred inch t.t. screen

C.: Well, so is my third husband (and second husband on this planet) Tucker Tucker Two, a.k.a the Cat Fighter Formerly Known As The Tuxedo (who really needs a shorter nickname) Now simply Known As T Because Tripel T Was Already Taken (by his former BFF, business partner with the Triple T Cartel and  former World Association of Cat Fighting and Knowledge of Ornithology tag team cat fighting partner and now chief rival for his six WACKO cat fighting championship belts and sworn enemy, The Original Triple T, Tom the Tabby).

Maybe you two could watch the game together.

d.: Oh, T doesn’t believe in denying himself pleasure before a cat fight so that he’ll have an edge in the ring?

C.: He does, but only certain things. It’s been a while since we….

d.: That’s okay, Cal.E., I don’t need specifics about T’s training habits and y’all’s love life.

C.: I was just going to say that it’s been a long time since we went out and danced and sang karaoke at the local cat pub, Karaoke Katt’s place.

d.: Okay, well, that must be frustrating for you since you aren’t touring with the RoCKats anymore.

C.: au contraire. Ralph

called from Anahuac this morning and one of the band members has come down with laryngitis. They need me to fill in for their lead vocalist.

It’s a bad time for that to happen, because the RoCKats are starting their most extensive tour of the year.

d.: do you mean…?

C.: Yes, the RoCKats

are starting their NEW BALANCE tour. We will be playing back allies in Navasota, Egypt, Winnie, Baytown, Lumberton, Arcola, Nederland, Crosby, and El Lago.

d.: When does the tour start?

C.: On Tuesday, I need to start practicing pronto.

d.: So, I suppose that’s all the time we have for today, folks. That’s the end of this cat ta(i)le.

Please join us tomorrow for another edition of Cal.E.’s Korner.

at the scot residence

E.: Oh, good heavens, I almost forgot. Tonight is the last night I can watch my favorite kid's movie, Bambi. It will be so good to see that movie on a 100" screen television with the special effects that have been added. Maybe I should invite the girls ove rto have a tea while we watch it.
