C.: Hey, d.c. I know that you’ve been studying for a big exam today. That’s why you haven’t been able to send me any scripts for a few days.

d.: Yes, Cal.E. that is accurate.

. C.: How did you do on the exam?
d.: Not as well as I had hoped, but about what I expected, I suppose.
C.: What was the test on?
d.: Mental health.
C.: d.c, you’ve worked at six different correctional facilities, and you’ve been involved in correctional care for the last fourteen years.

d.: And?
C.: Well, isn’t mental health a big part of nursing in correctional facilities?
d.: It is.
C.: So, with fourteen years of experience in correctional care, why didn’t you do well on a mental health examination?
d.: Well, Cal.E., it’s like this. I must drive at least an hour to and from work on an almost daily basis. I work twelve- and one-half-hour shifts and keep track of my own time. I work with some patients who are in dire need of psychological help, bur refuse to get it. Additionally, I’m taking nursing courses toward my RN degree. I DON’T HAVE ANY MENTAL HEALTH!

C.: Well, that’s the wrap for today. Folks, because we’re out of time. Please join us tomorrow for another cat ta(i)le

right here on Cal.E.’s Korner.
