C.: Well, it’s Sunday, the last day of August, so what do you want to talk about today, d.c.?

d.: Not the Astros. They aren’t playing well right now…actually, their pitching and defense are good, but they cannot seem to hit any more.

C.: Well, cheer up. Football season is starting and the Texans looked great in the preseason. Besides, your college team double the score of their in-state archrivals yesterday.

d.: That wasn’t our archrival…well, it’s one of them, I suppose.
C.: So, how far down are they as far as archrivals are concerned?
d.: Let me count…, one, two, three, four, five, I suppose that they’re our fifth archrival, unless I count…let’s just say that they’re in the top ten.
C.: And y’all play twelve games a years, so almost everyone on your team’s schedule is an archrival?
d.: Almost, and some of those rivals date back to the leather helmet days.
C.: When you were playing?
d.: No, we had hard plastic helmets when I played football. They just weren't very good. Now, what were we talking about?
C.: Our blog, and I did see that today will be our 1378the post. Let’s talk about that/
d.: Why, is that a special number in the Cat Galaxy?

C.: No.

d.: On the Planet of the Talking Cats?
C.: No.
d.: Well, then, is it a special number to cats?
C.: No. Most cats can only count to two, because that’s how many times we get fed a day.
d.: Then is it the number of times your third husband, Tucker Tucker Two, a.k.a. the (former) Cat fighter Formerly Known As The Tuxedo (who really needs a shorter nickname) Now Simply Known As T Because Triple T Was Already Taken (by the original Triple T, Tome the Tabby, T’s former cat fighting tag-team partner, business partner, and BFF) got hit in the head before he decided to retire.

C.: No, d.c. T hasn't taken that many blows to the head (unlike you seem to have). It’s not that, either.
d.: Then why is that number special to you, Cal.E.?

C.: I just meant that it’s a lot of blog posts, that’s all.
d.…And that’s all the time we have for today, then. Please join us tomorrow for another cat tail(e)

right here on Cal.E.’s Korner.
