is feelin’ a might under tha weather taday, sose I’m gonna expound on yesterday’s blog post a bit, ‘cause, sure as shootin’ we didn’ get ta all them ‘spressions y’all use. Anyways,,

Every region of every country uses different dialects, and understanding what each means is a step toward understanding the person to whom one is talking. In Texas, as well as the American Deep South, being able to communicate in the local dialect builds trust.  Some countries speak different dialects, or even different languages than people in other parts of the same country. No wonder communicating here on Earth is so confusing.

There is a difference between British English ( or, the queen’s English, as it is sometimes known) and Scottish or American English. Improper grammar sometimes irritates some people (especially writers, since their obligated to use proper grammar when writing. I know this from experience because d.c. tore my manuscript to shreds when I asked him to edit it

Accents can also help identify the region (or even country that someone calls home, although some people try to hide their natural accent. I don’t like to watch television with my earth mom and dad or d.c. and Eudora, because they will point out that, while an actor may have a southern accent in a show, s/he doesn’t have the correct accent for the region that actor’s storyline says that s/he is from. Apparently, a Georgia accent is different from an Alabama accent, and a Mississippi accent is different from a Louisiana accent. Accents also vary depending on which part of Texas one is from. It’s a large state area-wise and population-wise with a lot of variations of a Texas accent.

So, when my spacecraft crashed into to Atlantic Ocean and I then stowed away on an eighteen-wheeler to Houston, d.c. told me not to let people know that I could talk. I knew how to speak English. The simple language is taught to kittens

their first year in obedience school on the Planet of the Talking Cats. However, I thought that d.c. was worried that I would reveal where I was from because of my accent because I was taught The Queens English in Obedience School. I didn’t think it was because humans would try to expereiment with my vocal chords. I had no idea that Earth Cats had yet to reveal to humans that they could speak English, as well as Klingon.

That’s a complicated language!

Anyway, d.c. says that one becomes what one practices, and that held true for me. When I started to write my autobiography, I made a lot of grammatical errors because I’s used ta how y’all talk. However, I wonder if someone practices diligently to become a meow-illoinnaire, if that being will become one? It’s worth trying to find out, I suppose.

Well, that's the end of today's blog d.c. will (hopefully) be back tomorrow, so join us then for another cat tail(e) right hear on Cal.E.’s Korner.
