d.: Well, Cal.E. is helping Joe Groan cover the animal Olympics. She’s a valuable asset for that, since she speaks most of the languages the other animals speak. She can also speak English, which is necessary for her to interpret what the animals are saying.

Fortunately, Joe has no idea he’s talking to a cat. Cal.E., answered an ad on social media, and Joe was grateful to have someone who could interpret for him. That’s why he accepted Cal.E.’s terms; one of which was that all of their communication would be by phone.

Speaking of which, it’s time for Joe’s show now.  I think I can pick it up on KEEN/KING Cut-N-Shoot/Conroe. Yes, here it is.

u by the three-hundred first most popular podcaster in the Northeastern portion of Southeast Texas, Joe Groan! And now, here’s your host with some exciting news about the action going on now in the Houston Astrodome.

JG.:  Oh, oh, oh! Props to the organizers of this event. They took a run-down structure that should have been imploded twenty years ago and found a use for it. I’m sure it will take all the money that was collected at the gate as entrance fees to pay the rent, but it’s worth it. It gives the city of Houston an excuse to keep this building up fpr the next twenty years, I suppose.

Anyway, here’s today’s premier event, the 100-meter sprint. Interestingly enough,, the only participants in this event are cheetahs. That makes sense. Who would want to compete against the world’s fastest land animal in a 100-meeter sprint?

And, here’s the first heat…and the second, third, fourth. And now all the winners are lining up to compete against each other…and it’s over. The one-hundred-meter sprint has been decided. that whole sequence of events took all of thirty seconds. In the meantime, to first heat of the first event in these Olympic games is still going on. The 10-K tortoise long distance….crawl is still in progress and probably will be for the next two weeks. I hesitate to call it a race, though. I’ve seen light poles move faster than these guys.

That’s the wrap for today, folks. But, tomorrow is a big day. The premier event, the open division cat fighting Olympic preliminary rounds begin tomorrow, and the favorite to take that event is going to have some competition. It seems that an out-of-this world cat fighter named ELAC

is going compete in the division opposite Tucker Tucker Two, a.k.a. The Cat Fighter Formerly Known As The Tuxedo (who really needs a shorter nickname) Now simply Known As T Because Triple T Was Already Taken.

Finally, some competition for the big guy. These two should work their way through the matrix of tomato cans in the preliminaries and meet in the finals to decide who gets the silver medal and who gets the gold.

I can hardly wait, so tune in tomorrow for another edition of the Joe Groan Show on Cal.E.’s Korner.
