C.: Okay, what team won the first game to be called the Super Bowl?
d.: Most people would say the Green Bay Packers, but that isn’t exactly true. After guaranteeing a victory in a bar conversation the night before the big game, Joe Namath led the New York Jets to a 16-7 victory over the Baltimore Colts. This was later renamed Super Bowl Three. The first two “Super Bowls,” which the Green Bay Packers won, were called “The AFC-NFC Championship Game” at the time they were played. Retroactively, they were named Super Bowl 1 and Superbowl 2.
C.: What professional player hit the most home runs?
d.: Sadahari Oh. Most would say Barry Bonds, but Oh played in the Japanese League and hit over 800 home runs.
C.: Okay, who is the only player ever to hit fifty home runs and steal fifty bases in one season?
d. : The L.A. Dodgers’ “Showtime” Ohtani. Ohtani gives more credence to Oh’s record, because he was the best player in the Japanese League before the California Angels signed him to a major league contract. He was then signed away in free agency by the other L.A. team, the Dodgers for the 2024 season, in which he was named MVP for hitting the 50/50 mark in home runs and steals.
C.: And who has the most Super Bowl rings?
d.: Tom Brady, with seven. The first six he earned with the New England Patriots, and the last with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
