C.: I wonder if any other radio stations are carrying the World Series. Very few of them can reach another planet in the solar system, much less another galaxy. I’ll try WILT. It had a strong signal until its listenership began to wilt. Then it had to combine with WINK. It was a new startup station, but its flirtatious nature kept it on the air. If WILT/WINK Egypt/Cut-N-Shoot, Texas don’t carry the World Series, then I won’t be able to listen to it. That’s because neither WONT nor WILL were carrying the World Series. I didn’t think the former would carry it, but I was sure that the latter station would.
I did find the World Series’ broadcast last year on KIND.
That was a very good station, but it seems to have faded somewhat. I guess it has gone out of style. It seems that no one wants to listen to KIND’s words, or do what its disc jockeys suggest. Being kind doesn’t cost anyone anything, for the most part, but people are just too busy to give someone who’s down in the dumps a kind word. That’s true here on the Planet of the Talking Cats, as well as my former adopted home, Planet Earth.
That gives me an idea. Politics is a strange and dirty business, and I’m running for Supreme Ruler of the Planet of the Talking Cats. There is an old saying on Earth that says if you can’t beat someone, kill him or her with kindness. That’s what I’ll do. I’ll praise my opponent so much that he won’t know what to do, and I’ll come out of the campaign smelling like a rose.
I need to rewrite my campaign speech, so we’re out of time for today. Please join my and my cohost, Earth’s own d.c. scot and me tomorrow for another episode of Cal.E.’s Korner.
