Cal.e.'s Korner

C.: D.C. says he is feeling a little “under the weather,” so I should write this blog for today solo…

I meant by myself.
That is a strange expression. I wonder where it originated. I’ll check “Cats Need kNowledge and see what it says.
Hmm, CNN says that this phrase originated as a nautical term in the nineteenth century. The full phrase was “under the weather bow,” meaning a sailor was not feeling well so he would lie down under the bow on the side of the ship facing the wind.
That’s strange. I know D.C. likes to swim, but I don’t think he’s sailing on a ship that is two-hundred years old.

Well, one thing is for sure, I won’t be using that phrase. Although all cats are born knowing how to swim, I hate water…except to drink. That’s why I bathe myself in my own saliva.
Anyway, hopefully, D.C. will be back on his feet tomorrow, and we’ll be back with a witty, thoughtful, grammatically correct post….Or one that’s just plain silly.

That’s the end of this cat ta(i)le, though.

Please join us next time for another edition of Cal.E.’s Korner.
