C.: hi, D.C. I haven’t heard form yo uin a couple of days. Are you still trying to figure out how to sign your name?

me as d.c.

D.: No, I will now sign my material D.C. Scott. However, I am trying to decide how to shorten my elevator pitch for MURDER 8 I’m trying to whorten the information on a full page to one or two paragraphs.

C.: Well, send it to me. Maybe I can help.

D.: Okay, here it is.

With the fate of the free world at stake, Taylor, the world’s most wanted criminal, asks disgraced former police detective Jay McGruder to meet him in an empty park unarmed. Taylor asks for this meeting because he  feels the shackles that were cast upon him by his arch enemy, CIA agent Miko, and another, even more powerful force that he has yet to identify. Consequently, he loosens the fire walls on former undercover police detective’s computer profile to confront the man he thinks holds the key to him controlling the two most powerful cartels in the Western Hemisphere. He thinks Jay holds the key to him finding the her apparent to leadership of the most powerful cartel in the Western Hemisphere.

As Taylor meets the unarmed detective in an empty park, he gives Jay thirty seconds to decide how he’ll use the information he’s gathered from a clandestine website. Jay’s life flashes before his eyes as Taylor brandishes his .357 in his face. As Taylor counts down to end Jay’s life, he recalls the story he told his first wife and most trusted confidant, Alice, under the guise of the spousal privilege clause. Jay admitted his part in helping the heir apparent to the most powerful cartel in the Western Hemisphere, José Leal, kill his alcoholic, drug addled tio with an undetectable inert ingredient to keep him from combing the two most powerful cartels in the Western Hemisphere and ruling one-half of the world.

José’s mother’s brother, Benito Suarez, believes he should be the one to be the don of the Leal Cartel after the founder of the cartel is killed in a turf war, but Javier Leal has spelled out his wishes that one of this sons take control of the cartel after he dies. When the to older Leal brothers are killed in the turf war that claimed their father, it leaves the José as the heir apparent, when he is of legal age. Benny thinks he has the right to control the cartel until then, but Jay and José  think that José  tio,  the alcoholic, drug-addicted Benny is a liability and must be dealt with before he can take over the cartel and destroy it.

Until her funeral, Alice, Jay’s first wife, is the only person he ever trusts enough to tell his horrendous secret. Unbeknownst to Jay, Alice and Alicia, listening to Jay’s story that he tells both his oldest daughter and his first wife is Taylor, the world’s most wanted criminal. Taylor believes that Jay Magruder’s story is the key to him finding the man who is the key to him controlling the two most powerful cartels in the Western Hemisphere: José Leal. As he hides from the cartel members who are trying to kill him for killing his tio, José grows to resent both of the men who control his destiny, Jay Magruder and Taylor, so he develops a plan to gain his freedom.
