d.: Hi, Cal.E, did you do what you said you were going to do when you turned writing the blog over to me?

C.: I think so, but remind me what that was.

d.: You were going to begin reading all my manuscripts and make suggestions for improvements.

C.: Oh, yes, that. I…did start on the first one, but I haven’t finished it yet.

d.: So, what chapter are you on?

C.: let’s see, I think it was…chapter one.

d.: So, you did read the prologue, then?

C.: I did? I don’t remember doing that.

d.: Cal.E., have you even looked at any of my manuscripts like you promised?

C.: Well…no. But it’s Earth Day, so I was taking a break.

d.: From what?

C.: You know, this and that, doing my daily chores…etc.

d.: Cal.E, your youngest son, Ralph the Bass Player

is home from the” Ralph

and the RoCKats NIKE tour.”

...No, not that NIKE. They played  back allies in Navasota, Indian Springs, Klien and Egypt, so Ralph is back at work at The Kennel

cleaning cages. You haven’t had to fill in for him lately. What have you been doing with your time?

C.: Well….I was practicing in case Ralph and the RoCKats wanted me to fill in for them on their next tour.

d.: And play the last note on the piano at the end of the concert?

C.: That, and the lead vocalist may get laryngitis, again so I need to be ready. I’m now the backup fill-in lead vocalist, so I must keep my voice in shape (and hope Meow Z. Tongue

doesn’t catch wind of it and take over the stage like he did on the last tour when I was supposed to be filling in as the lead vocalist for my son’s caterwauling group). I need to get crackin’ on that, so, if you’ll excuse me…

MEOW!!! MEOW!!

D.: Oh! My ears!! I can’t take that noise anymore, so I’ll just hang up the phone. That’s the end of today’s cat ta(i)le folks.
