d.: Well, Cal.E is on the lam again. She escaped from the mental health unit of the kennel. The authorities are serious about catching her. They brought in Superdog to look for her. I was able to get a video of him looking over the city for her. I posted it on Tiktok@dcscot63. I could only catch about 15 seconds of his flight, but he was looking around really well. I was also able to post the video on this Facebook page. The caption is “Superdog looking for Cal.E.” I expect him to find her by tomorrow. In the meantime, I want to clear up some things that Cal.E. said about me.
First of all, I did try to get the song I posted yesterday published. Since I am not a musician, and can only play one instrument, I sent the lyrics to the lead guitarist of my favorite obsessive-compulsive acid rock band OC/DC. He has a master’s degree in music. I emailed him yesterday to ask what was going on with my song. He said he was still working on the first chord for my song….25 years later.
Secondly, Cal.E. did not tell y’all that I DID write something other than books at one time before I became a nurse. I wrote newspaper and magazine articles. After earning experience in these fields, I decided to branch out and try to write screenplays for movies and T.V. shows. That didn’t go so well. I wonder why? Here are some examples of things I tried to bring to both the large screen and the small screen.
My first attempt at a movie script was “DON’T Say Anything.” I tried to get Jack Palance as the lead, since he is the strong, silent type, which is what this movie’s lead called for. He never answered when I asked him to be in the movie. (Maybe he misunderstood what I was saying?)
I wrote “Get OUT of my Neighborhood” for T.V., but it never sold, for some reason. I also wrote “The Big Blame Theory,” which was a show about people blaming each other for their problems. It didn’t sell, either. Something about it being too cliché. Then, I wrote "Zeroes," a show about people who had done absolutely NOTHING with their lives. Again, it was too cliche was my answer when I tried to sell that one.
So, then I wrote, “That Was Someone Else.” It was about total strangers’ lives. It didn’t sell, either. As it turns out, I needed their permission to do a T.V. show about them. Who knew?
Anyway, I hope to have my cohost back tomorrow. In the meantime, I am d.c. scot, and YOU are someone else. And remember, Identity theft is punishable by law, if the cops ever figure out who you really are!!
